🧩 Life was always about bringing things together in unconventional ways for me.
🏰 As a kid, I spent countless hours bringing together LEGO kits that had no business being close to each other into massive anachronistic citadels where epic stories played out.
🚀 When my passion for computer networks emerged, this turned into integrating software in ways that were definitely not foreseen by developers to meet new purposes. I don’t consider myself to be a good software engineer, but give me Bash scripts and enough time, and we’ll go to the moon with a dishwasher and three screwdrivers.
🔐 I fell in the endless pit of Cybersecurity in 2013 during my internship at Thales Belgium. Virtualizing an encryption engine turned into a Master’s thesis, then a career and a mindset. The nicest and worst thing about this domain is that you’re never, ever done. Something new always comes up to shuffle the chess board, and we all love it.
📡 As a System Engineer then Architect, I honed my skills into capturing user needs, designing critical communications & cybersecurity solutions and accompanying the technical teams into successful development, integration and validation of the resulting solutions. Through my pivotal role in setting up a 24x7 service structure, I also learned the value of customer intimacy and the difference between efficiency and uncontrolled hastiness.
📈 Having moved to Head of Discipline, my focus is now empowerment: making sure the team grows in size and skills in a positive, empathetic and intellectually challenging environment, reaching even higher heights than where my decade as a System Architect got me to.

Leader of a diverse and talented cybersecurity engineers & architects focused on delivering security-centric developments and supporting the proper implementation of Secure By Design principles in all activities, from the initial architecture to the final decommision phases, including risk management, design reviews and penetration tests.

Execution, directly or as part of an integrated team, of various specification, design, integration, test bench definition & implementation, customer deployment & support activities on critical communication systems and cybersecurity solutions, in various technological and customer environments, including sensitive information handling. Main achievements include emergency paging systems and IP encryption devices.
External Collaborator
Facilitation of cooperation between the industrial and academic worlds through a range of initiatives including contribution to cybersecurity teachings, organisation of seminars and exploring collaboration opportunities on R&D projects.
Volunteer Sysadmin | Students club president
Contribution to the network routing infrastructure & user services of 200+ rooms students housing in close cooperation with the University IT department (IPS, virtualization cluster, web hosting, DVB-T multicast broadcasting, …). Planning, sponsors management & team coordination for a 200+ players LAN Party organised inside the University buildings.
